Honorable Mention
Juan Valdez caught this nifty fish on a pig-n-jig and made a magnificent
effort to try to qualify
it as a new type of "tiger bass," explaining that it was a cross between a
smallmouth and a
tiger musky. The committee thought about it for a while (actually more like 2
seconds after the
laughter died down) but denied his request. However the committee felt it was
certainly worthy
of an honorable mention -- no points, but anybody who'd dare to remove the hook
from the
mouth of one of these things ought to at least be recognized.
